Dynamite Chronicles: Job

Our Dynamite Ingredients for this past weekend:

     1. Pray for endurance and faithfulness during tough times.
     2. Job 2:9-10, Job 42:1-17, Philippians 4:13
     3. Reach out to someone going through tough times.

The story of Job is one of the most important in the Bible, which is why it was included in the Dynamite series. In comparison, it might not seem as "powerful" as the previous three stories: Creation, Moses, and Elijah/Elisha. Job did not create the world, he didn't free the people of God from slavery, nor did he harness the Spirit of God to reveal to thousands who the true God is. He did, however, endure great suffering and trial while staying faithful to God. His suffering did not turn him from glorifying God.

In this world, many tough times will come upon us. Suffering is a very real thing, and to see the faithful endurance of Job through suffering greater than many of us will ever experience or see firsthand is a great example we should strive to follow. God is God, let us never doubt his faithfulness, unfailing love, or power.

In His Majesty's Service.
