Chalkboard Theology

A small glimpse at what happens during lesson preparation each week. This past week's topic: Creation. Not in any particular order, nor is everything on topic. It's an explosion of thoughts centered on the King.

The intention of God:

Who Are We?
People created in the image of our Creator. Held back by our own limits, defined not by them or by how we overcome them, but by our mere ability to go beyond our limitations. These limits challenge us to go beyond. Human nature sends us to never be ok with coloring inside the lines. Thus, we have the freedom to go beyond them. How will we escape these limitations? By Jesus, our Creative Redeemer? Or by our own devices, a created personality that, when aimed improper, can decimate the intended beauty? To color outside the lines with our Creative Redeemer utilizes our Created Personality to the full extent. In opposite order, our Created Personality has the aim of a child who not only colors outside the lines, but one who disregards the very picture to be painted. We must first see our Creative Redeemer and then let our Created Personality run free under his freedom, love, unity, and authority. To properly operate is to understand first who he is and then to understand who he has made us —- what our Creative Redeemer has made our Created Personality. No one is to be squelched.
Ezra/Nehemiah
There is a place and an order for those whose Lord is God. He sends his mighty authority forth. He commands all things. A strong fortress is provided by our God by the hands of his people.
One stronger draws near.

Ask
The request of God must end by answering the humble request of another. Our blessings and answers serve to bring others near to God. Receive in action. Let your receiving turn to giving. Then be blessed again.
Don’t be afraid to be afraid.
Our weakness reveals His grace and strength.
